Our YT recently got struck by NAS. In the meanwhile, I am uploading these episodes unlisted in an attempt to get past them. Please do not add any of our episodes to a public playlist; we do not want it to be found. Youtube is a great distribution platform because of how accessible it is. We will keep uploading until we canât continue to.
Please support our releases by watching on YT rather than other third-party sites.
Please make sure to read the FAQ if you have any questions.

Hello everyone! There are no exact translation notes this episode, so as always with arc finales, I usually cap off these posts with my thoughts on various things that happened in Japanese that I donât normally include in notes or subtitles.
Kawai Tell & Yuuhi
Kawai Tell actually has never referred to Yuuhi by just his first name and always refers to him by his full name (Oudou Yuuhi), even in this episode. Even if heâs speaking to Yuuhi directly.
Yuudiasâ way of speech
I covered this briefly in the style guide I published, but I really want to bring attention to just how strangely archaic Yuudias speaks in normal dialogue. The closest equivalent that I can point to with the same feeling for English speakers would be something akin to a knight in fairy tales. He speaks extremely properly with archaic phrasing.
So to mimic that, we usually make his speech a little flowery and proper. The biggest point is that he cannot use contractions no matter what.
Zwijoâs personal pronoun
I imagine theyâre giving the Velgearians unique pronouns and ways of speech just to emphasize how âalienâ they are (especially as opposed to aliens weâve seen that have ânaturalizedâ to Earth, like Chupataro and Kawai Tell). Zwijoâs pronoun in particular (ć / ware) gives off a rather authoritative and royal feel. The best way to describe this is like Zwijo knows he has power and authority and does not need to flaunt it, because he just exudes it. Like being powerful is just a state of being.

大ăăŞăĺ¨ (ooi naru utsuwa)
If sushi girl isnât giving me a pun, itâs someone else from the food trio. Menzaburo is usingÂ ĺ¨ (utsuwa), which can mean both a bowl (like for noodles) or great talent/ability.
Once again, there was an attempt to preserve the pun.

çăŽčłć ź (ou no shikaku)
More literally this would be âthe qualifications [to become] Kingâ, but this was translated as âthe rightâ [to become King] in the subs simply because of timing. When subbing, you have to also take into account whether or not your audience is going to parse a word they read on screen as fast as theyâre saying it.
Seeing as âqualificationâ is 5 syllables and a mouthful compared to âthe rightâ (which conveys a similar enough meaning), this is the translation that made it to the final version.
Royal Demons vs Royal Demonâs
Last episode I subbed this with the apostrophe but this episode I didnât. This was intentional, as I realized watching this episode that if they meant for it to have an apostrophe, they would add an extra syllable between the ă (n) and ăş (zu), which they did for Headbangerâs Destruction.
