Just my two cents here, but I suspect the thing that grinds people the most is how so many people draw them going from point A to point B with almost no context in between. I don't really search the tag, but there's been a good amount of it on my dash and none of them seem to really explore the character's dynamics. To a person who doesn't really ship them, it makes it look like the ship exists for shallow reasons and that can be pretty upsetting, especially for characters like Jasper and Lapis.
Nah, I feel you. And I think that’s mostly because we still know so little about Jasper and Lapis but there’s an inherent draw towards them, because they’re interesting characters. Also they look nice together aesthetically to some, but that’s a very small part of it.
And it’s FUNNY because I am not nor have I ever been super interested in the ship anyway! I just hate people who shit on other’s for liking it or being interested, haha. So any interest I have towards the ship is honestly somewhat out of spite anyway, keke.Â
But yeah like you said, it’s hard to get into liking it or appreciating the ideas behind the ship when there’s not much material actively exploring it, and doing that well.Â

School-wise I'm pretty capable, I don't have as many problems on programming projects than others and have often been a sort of tutor.
I'm an optimist within reason so I'm generally in a really good mood all the time always, except for Comcast.
I'm a hell of a penny-pincher and keep track of pretty much all expences since before college so I haven't been in a stressful money situation in a long while.
I'm a capable cook. This kinda folds into the penny-pincher thing too.
I'm very deliberate in what I say and do and think. I spend time on issues determining how I feel about them so I can communicate myself clearly to others rather than forming an opinion on only a few sources.
