steven universe hits way different when you watch every scene imagining steven as pink diamond and greg in his young adult 'form'
#the beachapalooza episode in particular had me like. crazy last night#specifically the opening scene where steven grabs the time thing and the glass breaks behind him#imagining him as pink going 'hi im steven and youre coming with me!' and then running like a silly goober going 'immmma coming! ima coming!#pearl losing her shit while steven/pink just looks at the water coming#amethysts face of :OOOOOOO#actually hits so different#it makes it infinitely sadder and more hilarious at the same time#i will actually fight people on it but PINK WILL NOT DIE WHEN STEVEN DIES HER GEM WILL NOT DIE#i think her dying with steven is far worse of an outcome than steven being like lapis's mirror; keeping pink imprisoned#i would actually sit down and do a debate club with the crewniverse to prove to them why the outcome they chose is wrong#and why pink diamond is actually still alive#i will GENUINELY fight people on this#like i will pull out a fucking knife and everything bc it makes me so mad#i will bring a knife to a gun fight and win thats how passionate i am about this. pink is not dead. period.#objectively the absolute worst outcome they couldve chosen and the worst part is they make it out like its the BEST outcome#theyre basically saying 'suicide is ok as long as you have a kid who has to pick up all your trash for you :)'#theyre basically saying 'it's ok to knowingly kill your partner in the means of having a child for 'the experience''#again the fact they chose THIS because if rose came back it would make steven like lapis's mirror and thats somehow WORSE than her just..#dying?#fuck off#because then it also dooms the entire gem population. for the rest of time.#any gem who gets cracked? sucks to be you bc the crewniverse decided pink is dead. now youre going to slowly die bc no one can heal you :)#any gem who gets shattered? welp i hope you like an eternity of disorganized longing and confusion! because youre never being put together!#any gem who is corrupted? womp womp guess you shouldve been found a few years earlier when steven and pink diamond was still alive.#now youre shit out of luck#not to mention the diamonds were made LITERALLY MADE to act as one whole. theyre the ego; the super ego; and the id.#they all NEED to exist for there to be balance. they all have specific purposes and duties to serve#this isnt some self assigned task. this is shit they were actually programmed to do by their creators.#pink diamond actually dying destroys all of it.#steven universe
