After a training session with Night Thrasher, Speedball (Robbie Baldwin) tests out a serum given by Chord, to see how it effects his powers. After the practice he tries to trigger his powers while walking. Along the way, various superheroes like Spider-Man, She-Hulk, Invisible Woman, Beast and even Katie Power all save Robbie Baldwin from triggering his powers (without knowing that he's Speedball). When he returns to the Crashpad headquarters, Chord warns Speedball that the serum might cancel his powers; and Speedball faints, realizing he had “risked his life” trying to trigger his powers all day.

Robbie Baldwin is a young hero, the Masked Marvel, the spunky spitfire Speedball; after being accidentally blasted w/ extradimensional energy, while working as a scientist's lab assistant, he gained power to absorb & redirect kinetic energy (most often manifested as bouncy colorful bubbles); he briefly fought crime solo, but soon joined the company of other heroes; he's joined teams like the Thunderbolts (as Penance) & the Avengers (ie the Initiative, Avengers Academy), but his earliest, longest team history is aiding the New Warriors!

His whole story is how his parents were killed in front of him, then his legal guardians (who btw are the ones that couse his parents murdered) nurtured his desire to avenge his parents' deaths so he trained himself into becoming a vigilante, he create his own superhero team (New Warriors) and he also adopted this little fella name Elvin Haliday (Rage) that is ALSO a hero. Like come on, his name is literally Dwayne.
