Butterfly Effect
@dvhaejoo āSmall mint iced coffee for Yoora,ā Taehyung announces loudly, setting the drink down on the counter. He grins as the girl comes up to take the drink. āHave a nice day, Yoora,ā he remarks with a small wink. He immediately turns around, and quickly walks back to the cash register. Seeing as there are no more customers in line, he takes the time to catch his breath. He wipes his brow, and sets his elbows down on the counter, leaning forward. Taehyung proceeds to scan the faces dotting the room. He squints his eyes as he focuses his attention on each individual. Maru CafĆ© is one of the more popular coffee shops in the local area, although it generally sees the same influx of customers on a day to day basis. Having worked as a main barista for the past few months, Taehyung has had the opportunity to associate names with many different faces. He never thought this would be such a good way to meet people, he thinks to himself, and lets out a small chuckle. His gaze stops when it reaches one particular woman, however. Sheās sitting at a corner table, and Taehyung immediately recognizes her as Haejoo. She has made a habit out of coming to this table every few days, yet strangely, he doesnāt know much about her. Yes, theyāve had some amicable conversations, but they were always just small talk or out of pure politeness, he figures. He always feels her gaze on him, however, whether heās fulfilling drink orders or wiping down tables. He feels a sort of personal obligation to get to know her. āNow or never,ā he whispers to himself, and casually makes his way over to her table. He scratches the back of his neck, unsure of what to say at first. āHey there Haejoo,ā he decides on as he plasters a wide smile on his face. āHow are you doing today? Just thought Iād come over and maybe talk a little,ā he explains, gauging her reaction and whether she would be as welcoming as she looks.
