I finally caved and paid for Duolingo Plus. I've long said that Duolingo was the one and only app I'd ever feel comfortable paying for because it has been an invaluable service to me, but more importantly bwcause it has way too many FUCKING ADS! It was on sale for the new year, 60% off, just $4.99 a month, so I splurged (I was charged $59.99 for the full year, meaning they scammed me out or 11 extra cents, the bastards), but it's a small price to pay for the convenience of no ads and unlimited strikes per day. I'll be able to learn even faster now that I'm not being forced to take 24 hour breaks just because I got stuck on a particularly hard lesson and made more than 5 mistakes.
