I totally agree

I've noticed that a lot of Adrien Sugar fics (esp the ones with Marinette salt) just never hit hard or good. They're almost always some of the most uhhh how to put this? Uninspired(?) pieces of fiction

This isn't to say that some fics with the reverse aren't similar cause a lot are, but more of them have more substance on why Adrien is an opp than the aforementioned trope

Adrien Sugar paired with Marinette Salt just doesn't flow as well because while Marinette is shown to be selfish at times but she almost always tries to make it right at the end.

Adrien is almost always never shown to do this. The writers always try to make him 'in the right' ifykwim

Whereas Adrien being the selfish one in Adrien Salt+Mari Sugar isn't as ooc as Adrien Sugar+Mari Salt

He's shown to be selfish (a normal human trait of course) but he never goes out of his way to fix this like Marinette does

Even when he does it never makes it seem like he's in the wrong when he does (as seen in Claw Noir). It's always Marinette fixing her mistakes, I wouldn't even be able to count how many times Adrien has had to fix his shortcomings because they're so rare I forget when they happen
