「病気に負けないで」と応援したくて、早くblink-182の曲を和訳＆解説したものをUPしたいと思っていた。 でも自分も病気と闘っている身だから、書いていくのが辛い。気持ちが分かりすぎるから上手くまとまず不安になるのだ。 良く「病気に負ける」とか「病気に負けるない」とか言うが、どんな人間も病気には『勝ちたい」。「勝ちたい』に決まっている。 だが連日の投薬や検査や手術やらで疲れてしまうのよ。身も心も… その疲れから、ある時「どうでも良いやあ」と言う気持ちに陥るの。それを人によっては「負けた」と言うならばそうなんだろうけど、実際は「負けた」のではなく「疲れた」が正しいと思う。仕事があればその倍以上の精神力、体力を使うのだ。 こうやって書いていても、実際に病気や命の境目をあるいた人じゃなきゃ、理解はできないと思う。 分かって欲しいけど、痛い目にあったことがない人には分からないだろう。 ど…

Golden Gate International Exposition on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay.
~In the Treasure Island Amusement Zone, known as the “Gayway,” burlesque star and actress Sally Rand’s Nude Ranch was one of the highlights of the fair.
~It featured women wearing cowboy hats, gunbelts and boots, and little else. The fair’s Official Guide Book delicately described it as “Sally Rand Nude Ranch: A dude ranch a la 1939.”
~Sally Rand was well-known to native San Franciscans for she had purchased “The Music Box” burlesque hall in San Francisco in 1936, which was also open for business during the fair.
