The Starter cats!

Once part of a large stray cat colony, the cat now known as Driftstar had a dream. There a ghostly group of cats claiming to be “Starclan”, the souls of “warriors” came to him, offering a life more fulfilling than the one he lived currently.

Where cats loved and cared for one another, played together, no one forgotten or ignored. Where each cat had a purpose and role, and even past death he would live on, in a life after life, never fading until ready.

All he had to do was gather a willing group of cats and follow this guide cat “to the field of lavender where life flows plenty”

Urako Ine the Driftstar, modelling:

a shabby pack of divination cards made of dull lead and plated with gold. it bestows unwanted knowledge upon you, but it is greatly beloved of evil. it is said to be a bane to the corrupt and power-hungry. it was made by a master crafter, in a time of hollow splendour.

Story:

She wasn’t always called ‘Mangleface’. At one point, she was Firekit.

But that was changed when an her brother, Stagkit, got hungry during Leafbare, and decided that she looked like a nice snack.

She had screamed bloody murder, and Rosedapple had shoved the other kit away, but the damage was done.

The leader--her father--Driftstar took one look at her face and renamed her Manglekit.

What a cruel joke.

When they went to gatherings, rumors spread like wildfire. She was shunned. Pregnant queens avoided her, for fear that her condition was contagious.  

By the time she was a warrior, however, all the focus was on Stagbranch, her older brother. “Oh why can’t you be more like your brother?” Elders would sigh at her. She would bite her tongue, but one day, an elder went too far. “Stagbranch is so pretty!” Tawnynose had chirped. Then she had looked at Mangleface and made a face. “A shame how you turned out.”

That did it. When she came to her senses, Tawnynose was laying at her feet, face torn off. Rosedapple, an elder now, had entered the den and paused, long enough for Mangleface to ambush her mother, snapping Rosedapple’s neck like a dry twig.

Then she moved onto her father.

Then her brother, chasing him down while yelling that he ruined her life. He feigned confusion, and she gestured to her face. So out of control, that she didn’t pay attention to what was around her.

The monster hit her so hard that she was out before her body hit the ground.
