I’ve been thinking about Magnus Archives AUs for tabletop characters, so here’s Brégevic as a Beholding avatar - canonically, ze was a reckless dirtbag elementalist whose mother was the last Chronicler, ze (semi-unwillingly) took up the mantle to please her. This made zir extremely illegal (again) and rendered zir unable to forget anything, ever.
Including zir two brutal, painful deaths (within as many weeks.)
Other things ze got out of the package were comprehend languages and the ability to take photos, which ze promptly used to invent the selfie.
I encountered an extremely cool person a week or so ago. Here is an artist's impression. I am so happy that this elderly (probably) gent is skateboarding through life, carefree and amply sideburned.
Bearded vultures, or lammergeiers; cool as hell.
I'm really proud of this, and I hope you folks like it as much as I do.

Right, so, explanation needed. These were started back in April, during a hot spell, but not finished till afterwards, so I don't know if they work. Maybe I will by time of posting.
Every summer, I have a problem: thigh chafing. My thighs chafe on each other, and also on the seams of clothes, especially at the crotch. And I don't know if you've noticed, but every item of commercially-produced bifurcated garment (boxers, trousers, leggings, shorts, pyjamas, tracksuit bottoms, etc) has THE SAME CROTCH CONSTRUCTION with a nice chunky seam running up between the thighs. So I chafe on one, and I change to another, and the other one's seam just makes it worse.
The only thing that has worked to date is putting a plaster on the spot, but that gets expensive and the skin gets irritated.
So that's where these extremely stupid-looking shorts come in. They are a midlayer, since the crotch is open, but they are a very light cotton muslin and they are designed to place two very smooth curves of fabric right up between my thighs, one on each side of the crotch. The curve is edged with bias binding of the same fabric, with the stitching on the 'outside'. The fabric between the thighs is held smooth and down with elastic.
Like I say, they look really stupid. But they should squish down under whatever outer layer I am wearing, and they should PROTECT MY THIGHS FROM GETTING RUBBED.
EDIT from after I queued the post but before it posted. They... sort of work. Like, I walked a long way on the hottest day of the year and I didn't chafe. Unfortunately, I was still very uncomfortable and I kept having to adjust them.
So maybe it's most annoying when it. sort of works.

A tale of divine horror and found family
You’ve all been following the Road to Aser as it released - well, here it is as a full PDF!
Finally, a finished pair of socks! These are the Quetzalcoatlus socks, featuring several flying azhdarchid pterosaurs and one standing on a pile of rocks. Yarn is Drops Nord. Heel is an 'afterthought' style heel (peasant heel?) but I had two strands of the orange yarn so it wasn't weaker than the rest of the sock.
So you know that hoody that’s been going around? That, but Peregrine.

A few months ago, just after we got married, me and my partner had to go up to A&E in a hurry (everything's fine now). I grabbed the first yarn that came to hand to continue making hexagons for my sky blanket (not pictured) and then realised it was too thick. However, I was stuck in A&E with no other yarn available so I was like, fuck it. Phone bag time.
This fits my phone only (my work phone and my phone is too much phone) but it's very useful when I wear skirts with no pockets (booooo!)
The Godwrangler.
Elmyar has never had cool, up to date art. So I decided it was time to illustrate their coolest moment - that moment they beat the god of time in a duel of intellect.
Another fabric bracelet! This one's my favourite, that fabric was amazing and I have used every last scrap.
Couldn't resist another one. Here's Esaci Tivanax, the voice of the earth.
Found this old doodle in a notebook while I was cleaning my flat. It's neat!

It is 3/3, the Murderbot fandom event where we celebrate Three! I gave it a really fancy outfit.
After this wasn't big enough for a cat blanket, I gave it another go. Here's to having a cat to sit on it soon!
