I coudn't think of a better image to share today on the 13th than one of my favourite market spots in Bolivia. The Witches' Market is known as El Mercado de las Brujas or La Hachiceria. If you find yourself in Bolivia, this is on my do not miss it list! It is found in Cerro Cumbre which is a gorgeous and eye opening mountain clearing in La Paz, Bolivia. The bustle of the market goers is felt and the air is crisp. The fragrances creep up on you as you walk through the stalls along the alleyways. Bright, vibrant textiles everywhere, Palo Santo and other delicious herbs burning and billowing, baby dried lamas for fertility and home blessings hang in the stalls beckoning you in for a closer look. This magical spot is an overload for your senses in the best of ways.
