#dried chilli

I went to the coffee shop nearest to my place and bought Takeaway Dinner for the three of us. The first pack of rice had pieces of fried chicken, hairy gourd 🥒 & egg 🥚 stir-fry and this kung pao pork 🐖 with plenty of dried chilli. The next box, I replaced the fried chicken with stewed egg tofu. For the last pack, I changed the kung pao pork with a piece of steamed fish fillet. 🐟

Our Western Boy Express pasta dinner bought from Kopitiam Food Hall located in Sembawang MRT Station. Mum usually just wants Fish Fillet Aglio Olio 🐟🍝 (鱼扒蒜香意面) because she finds the deep-fried panko coated fish fillet very nice. Out of the three available sauce-based spaghetti 🍝, the olive 🫒 oil and herbs 🌿 aglio e olio suited our palate better compared to the cloying cream and sharp, tangy tomato sauce. Mum typically gives me a small piece of the fish as she cannot finish it all.

Eating alone tonight so I just ordered the takeaway Chicken Steak Aglio Olio (鸡扒蒜香意面) from Western Boy Express again. The chicken steak had been sliced up as compared to one whole piece previously. Still had that crispy skin and succulent texture plus the spaghetti 🍝 is nicely seasoned. Same as before, I top up S$3 to make it a set meal which added cheesy fries 🧀🍟 drizzled with nacho cheese sauce and mayonnaise, fresh and crisp salad 🥗 and a bowl of mushroom 🍄‍🟫 soup.

Mum asked me to settle my own dinner, so I made a stop at Western Boy Express located in Kopitiam Food Hall to buy my takeaway meal. Must have been feeling famished from all the stressful tasks at office so I topped up S$3 for the set meal to go with the Chicken Steak Aglio Olio (鸡扒蒜香意面). As always, the chicken steak is nicely charred with crispy skin and tender meat. Spaghetti 🍝 is drizzled in olive oil and seasoned with flavourful herbs. Simply adored the crispy fries coated with nacho cheese sauce and mayonnaise. So delicious.

Both mum and sis do not need dinner so I bought the takeaway Chicken Steak Aglio Olio (鸡扒蒜香意面). from Western Boy Express. That piece of pan-fried boneless chicken thigh is an absolute winner for me. The skin is crispy, and the meat is succulent and juicy. I love my spaghetti 🍝 not masked with cream or tomato sauce, just drizzled with olive oil and seasoned with herbs. Of the three side dishes, the only one I am not fond of is the mushroom soup which is too starchy for me.

Dinner came in the form of a takeaway pack of Economy Rice (菜饭). On top of the bed of steamed rice are okra stir-fry, kung pao chicken (宫保鸡丁) with dried chilli and a piece of spicy sambal chilli fish steak. 🐟

Back to Western Boy Express for their Chicken Steak Aglio Olio (鸡扒蒜香意面). I like my spaghetti simple with just olive oil, herbs and seasonings. That boneless piece of pan-fried chicken thigh comes with crispy skin and juicy meat. For S$3 extra, you get crisp lettuce & dressing, cheesy fries and mushroom soup for a complete meal.
