Leaving the girls to giggle excitedly over their room Drew and Talon kept on towards their room. “Are you afraid of fire?” Talon asked trying to figure out why the boy had asked if Zinnia could enchant fire.

Drew laughed shrugging off Talon’s question. “I was just trying to be funny. It went over their heads. So you won’t need to fly me to safety on those itty bitty wings of yours.”

Talon stifled his ready remark. He was like his mom in not wanting people to make derogatory comments about the size of his wings. Before opening the room they were assigned to Talon turned to Drew saying, “for that remark I get the top bunk if there’s bunk beds in there.”

“Yeah whatever.” Drew shrugged. “Doesn’t matter to me one way or the other.”

“Well I guess this is home,” Talon said looking around.

"Something like that" Drew shook her head "I'd cry myself to sleep a lot in the months following their deaths. Somehow I always felt comforted by a presence in the room. I knew it was my Dad. I knew he wouldn't just leave me all alone."

"But that's how I..." she snapped her mouth shut "you're going to think I'm crazy. This morning I thought I my Dad had been in the room with me. It smelled of vanilla bean body wash. It's what he always smelled like."

"You're not crazy" Drew assured her "I'm not surprised Jeff would check on you. He'd want to make sure his little girl was alright."

"Why" Emerson cried "he hardly knew me."

Holding the girls face, Drew made sure she had her full attention. "That wouldn't matter. He felt a connection to you. He never doubted you were his daughter. In a way you made him very happy."

Zayne carefully picked up the limp unconscious body of the boy who had been willing to give up his life to save Harmony. The dog followed closely at his heels while he carried Charlie into the bedroom. Laying him carefully on the bed he turned to find Millie and the girls crowding in behind him.

"What can we do for him?" Millie asked looking down at the boy.

"Make him comfortable and hope she was successful in getting all the poison" Zayne squeezed her shoulder "if he wakes up and attacks you or otherwise appears threatening knock him out."

"Who are you?" Quinn demanded of the woman standing within her haven.

Turning the woman eyed her up and down before relaxing enough to offer Quinn  a smile "my name is irrelevant..."

"Not if I say it isn't" Quinn approached her visitor "what dimension are you from?"

"Tsk tsk so many questions" the woman shrugged "I am Irina Zohn dimension watcher. Five dimensions to the right of yours."
