When your hair has more volume than your social calendar and your camera is the original selfie stick. These four prove that before filters, you needed enough hairspray to compromise the ozone layer and expressions so enthusiastic they could sell film to someone who doesn't own a camera.

Then there’s Loki the King of Trash and Asgards most likely to pose as he fights:

See what I mean? He just slid down the rainbow bridge after fighting & couldn’t help flipping back his hair like the Diva that he is. Dramatic and extra as hell.

Then there’s Hela. Do I even need to say it?

She couldn’t abide by having the most dramatic hair, no, she had to incorporate her headpiece into her look. 

See what I’m talking about? That’s why Thor was a mess after Stan Lee cut his hair. How can he compete with all these hair flipping divas? 

My poor thunder guy.

Happy (?) Clone Wars Friday! (Why do I say happy? It never is!)

The three Star Wars trilogies parallel in each other in interesting and not-so-interesting ways. One of the less obvious parallels is that a never-before-seen but beloved minor character dies at the beginning of each “dark middle chapter.” Padme’s decoy Corde dies at the beginning of Attack of the Clones; Luke’s gunner Dak dies at the beginning of Empire Strikes Back; and Rose’s sister Paige dies at the beginning of The Last Jedi. These deaths accomplish two things: they set a grim tone after the victorious finale of the previous film, and they establish a main character’s emotional investment in the war.

Both Dak and Paige die in battle, but Corde is assassinated just outside the Senate. Though The Clone Wars have not been declared, this act of aggression was certainly meant to provoke them. I would argue that Corde is technically the first casualty of The Clone Wars -- the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Star Wars.

There’s not nearly enough fanart of these two incredible characters -- Ciena Ree and Thane Kyrell -- so I redrew this emotional panel from the middle of their manga. I thought it would be fun to add color and give Ciena another hairstyle as well. I hope you guys love them too!!

Way back in the 90s, Tales of the Jedi really did it all first -- every plot point from the prequels and the sequels -- including Rey’s hairdo. Not to pit two queens against each other, but I think Dace Diath wears it better.
