The very tired, but happy, face of a girl who finished writing her goddamn novella. It has some fiddly bits, and some of the words are not the right words. But it’s done! And one of the paragraphs is possibly my favorite thing I’ve written. And I reallllly want to share, but not publicly.

Mallory stays, Juliana goes, life goes on. I like it. 

I’m already getting a sense of how this is going to change and reshape itself in revisions, so I’m not going to write the backfill pieces I thought about earlier; theyll slot in much more naturally once I’ve done my revision plan and know what actually goes around them.
