Equine Fashion Takes a Step Forward with 'Horse Kicks' Custom Sneakers
It's hard to imagine, but one day, horses could also be sporting trendy and cool sneakers. Horse Kicks, a company specializing in custom horse sneakers, is set to release equine footwear inspired by popular brands like Nike, Adidas, and New Balance, with prices starting at a whopping $1,200.
With very few exceptions, horseshoe design has remained virtually unchanged for centuries. However, this is about to change, thanks to sneaker customization expert Marcus Floyd. Through deconstruction and reconstruction, Floyd has designed several pairs of equine sneakers that incorporate elements reminiscent of iconic brands such as Air Jordan, Cheap Yeezy, and New Balance 650. These custom designs also account for the unique ergonomic structure of horse hooves.
For the launch of his new venture, Horse Kicks, Marcus Floyd has prepared a range of pre-made styles for the Fall 2022 season. These horse sneakers draw inspiration from popular models like the Air Jordan 1 High "Court Purple," Adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 "Dazzling Blue," and the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650 collaboration.
Starting from October 24, customers will be able to place custom orders for Horse Kicks sneakers through the company's website, with prices starting at $1,200. For those who prefer a hands-on experience before making a purchase, Marcus Floyd will showcase his creations at the Breeders' Cup World Championships in Kentucky on November 4 and 5.
Just as sneaker enthusiasts line up outside shops for the latest collectible designs, prepare to witness a similar phenomenon among equine sneakerheads.
