garsantos accidentally grabbing the wrong tags before they leave for work together (it’s real to me)
im obsessed with dr garcia cos every episode something goes wrong she just comes in bullys all the men, makes a joke abt hooking up w santos, saves the day and leaves
Its so clear the way the other hospital departments have absolutely no respect for the emergency department.
Javadi’s mom literally asks her “why would you want to [handle the work in the ED?]” because they practice “street medicine” and leave mistakes for “more talented practitioners upstairs” to fix. Literally calling the ED staff incompetent for everyone in earshot IN THE ED to hear.
When Garcia and Al-Hashimi have their little tussle over the kid with the fracture larynx, Garcia is so rude. Which, I get it, a minor patient with a big ass cut in their neck isn’t exactly what you want to see, but her lack of professionalism or courtesy is really just indicative of how little she thinks of Al-Hashimi.
Garcia saw the cut and instead of considering that there could be literally any situational factor and asking “hey, what happened with this cut?” she immediately assumed it was dispositional and jumped straight to picking a fight with Al-Hashimi, as if she has any reason to believe Al-Hashimi was negligent or did it on purpose.
On the same thread, when Garcia snapped at Santos over getting lippy with Langdon, it’s clear she thinks it’s always justified when she’s a bitch to people, but never when anyone else is. Which may be a more Garcia-centric problem than a systemic belief that the ED is inherently lesser than then other departments, but her hands still aren’t clean.
There seems to be an attitude in the hospital wherein the doctors upstairs are unsatisfied with the conditions that they receive their patients in, which is fine, but they attribute this phenomenon to perceived incompetence despite it being an openly known fact that The Pitt is constantly being tortured by upper management and that they have to race against time.
Which is like, bad.

i get robby feels betrayed by langdon, and that's justified. but to actively make langdon feel small and have langdon second guess every medical decision he makes is such an abuse of power imo. robby is the boss but also langdon's role model. langdon thinks the world of robby, obviously, and he knows hes on robby's shitlist, probably forever. but to hear that vocalized ('i dont want you in my er'), shake up his confidence, and then made to feel extra shitty when robby essentially waits for langdon to fumble over his own words/decisions, is just mean.
robby's acting petty and normally that would be fine but he's going against his own words from last season ('this is a teaching hospital') and letting his own personal feelings get in the way of their work. that was a hard scene to watch just because everyone knows langdon knows his shit. but pressure and heartbreak is the same for everyone. but it was nice to see both mel and garcia be there for him. even though garcia's arrogant/harsh with everyone she was actually quite soft in that scene. she's always been langdon's friend so im sure she's rooting for him underneath all the sarcasm.

I had this delirious thought as I was falling asleep
Trinity goes out and brings back two of the small individual Nothing Bundt cakes and gives Dennis one, just cause she was thinking of him at the time
Maybe the Biscoff cookie butter cake cause that was delicious, and I still think about it lol
Dennis falls in love with the flavor and is floating on cloud nine cause Trinity assured him a million times that it’s all his and she's not gonna take it away from him
Major food insecurity on Dennis’s part cause back at the farm he had to fight his brothers for food back at the farm, and he often lost
Even when he had food, it was made out to be selfish if he didn’t want to share with his brothers, even if his brothers didn’t have to share with him
So, he’s taking one small forkful a day, doing his best to savor it and make it last. Trinity thinks it’s weird, cause she’ll buy him more, but she's glad he’s enjoying food at his own pace instead of scarfing it down
One day, Garcia is at the apartment while the two are out for some reason
She sees the half-eaten cake, assumes it’s Trinity’s, and finishes the whole thing
When they come back, and Dennis sees what happened, he sobs and breaks down cause it solidifies in his mind that he’s not allowed to have his own food and someone will be there to take it away from him before going to hide in his bedroom and lock the door
Trinity is furious. It took her so long for Dennis to trust her around food and for him to know she wasn’t going to let him starve just cause he didn’t have money
She makes her girlfriend go apologize by buying Dennis his own 10-inch cake that he doesn’t have to share at all (he does so anyway)
Dennis tries to apologize for having such a dramatic reaction, but Trin reassures him that it’s fine and they’ll get over it together
