What are y'alls HxH hot takes?
Here are some of mine:
Gon is my favorite character, and he's the most misunderstood character in HxH. It's not a hot take here, but it is in this overall fandom.
The 1999 filler is overall great, especially in the Hunter Exam, even if some choices were questionable. Ex. Killua having bombs, Killua vs. Anita, Gon vs. Illumi
The 2011 anime is a great adaptation, but it's not as great as people say it is. There are still many flaws. The main one being Kite.
I love Ging (he's my third favorite character), and he is actually one of the better fathers in HxH. Not that he's a good one. In fact, I think he's a bad father. He's a dead beat dad, but I think Gyro's father, Beyond, Silva, Zeno, and Light Nostrade are way worse.
Koala's monologue is one of the best chapters in HxH.
I love the Greed Island arc way more than Yorknew City arc. (And I love the YCA)
The Chimera Ant arc pacing is perfect.
Shizuku is extremely overrated.
Chrollo vs. Hisoka is great, but it's not the best fight in the series. I don't even think it cracks my top 5.
Gon is coming back. Oh wait, that's already confirmed and not an opinion anymore.

My hot take is that unfortunately I love palm and without the pedophila I think she’d be one of my favorites
Also that the “Pariston is Sheila” theory is one of the stupidest things the fandom has come up with since “zushi is the dark continent king”
ALSO ALSO I do agree that the CAA pacing was perfect and I also think the succession war arc is almost perfect as well
My hot take is that I think the Ging Pregnancy Stones theory might actually be real rofl

I guess other hot takes I like Hisoka, Illumi and Pariston as characters I think they’re very neat
