One month post op
I think I was too active tonight/yesterday evening because my left side has swollen up. I haven't had a chance to look at it since I've been in a car for 10 hours. Gonna check to make sure there's no discolouration or anything seriously wrong. My nipples look well sewn, only issue is the scars from the stitching cause discolouration around the edge of the nipple. So from a distance they so more weird and disfigured than they actually are, but up close and right in the line, they are almost perfect circles. My scars that get darker can sometimes lighten up, but I'm afraid these might not change much. In that case I won't be walking around without a shirt on in public much as I feel like it would out me. Other than that I think my chest looks passable when naked. But again I worry so much about people noticing I probably won't be very public with it.
I was a little disappointed with how my chest looked when he first took out the drains but now I am pretty damn happy with it. The right side is definitely by good side. I don't have full range but I feel pretty secure doing most things with that side. My left side, when I use it, gets this very sharp pain around where my drains were. I don't know why, I should call and ask. I have a shit ton of questions to ask, that I should have asked Friday but was so weirded out by the drains that I didn't ask anything except questions about that.
Oh and I've had zero nausea after surgery, which was something I was really worried about. I have been eating soup still but I feel like I could eat just about anything.
