About this time last summer, my chance to go to college was taken away from me. Fortunately enough, I was able to gain that opportunity back. Ever since then, I've taken college as a very serious deal. I've been hearing stories about people going to college and failing because they didn't show up to class, or just didn't take care of their shit. When I hear that type of stuff, I get so mad because why would you let an opportunity like that just slip through the cracks? It is a chance for yourself to gain valuable knowledge through professionals in your field. There are teenagers who have graduated and are not able to afford college. Then when I see these kids who go to college, whether it is a community college, two year, four year, grad school, or whatever, and just flunk because they didn't take care of their business? It makes me mad! First, you are wasting the space in the classroom that I could have gotten in or someone else that could have gotten in. And secondly, you may have ruined someone else's chances of getting into that university. It is just a waste of money and time. I don't even know why I'm so bothered by this, but it is just the fact that people will waste an opportunity like that bothers me so much.
