Week 236: Double Headed Serpent

A 7 km long island snaking through the Strait of Georgia, I suppose the original Coast Salish name of Áyhus (double-headed serpent), was just deemed too Unsavary.

Double headed serpent, Aztec empire, 1400-1500.

This two headed snake is 1.4 feet long, and was worn on the chest, probably by an important person during a religious ceremony.
