Christmas Wreath Workshops... time for a bit of festive fun! I had such fun at @thedorsetbrocante yesterday and spent far too much money. Arabella of @artichoke_sherborne was there and I bought a pretty candle holder and candles from @greytogreenhome, a lovely green rug and some Christmas decs from Su Mose of @waywardrose_uk and a quirky chapel chair from another stall. I then spent a couple of hours with lovely Anna from @helloquirkandwhimsy learning how to needle-felt, which was such fun. Our next workshop is Festive Favours on Friday 22nd November at 7pm - 9pm, in my studio at Spire Hill, Stalbridge, Dorset, DT10 2SG (15 mins from Sherborne and 18 mins Shaftesbury). This course is amazing value and a great way to spend a Friday evening with friends. Come and learn from guest tutor @MelanieWarddesign, how to create your very own festive tags, bags, cards and wrapping papper. You will be expertly guided through the process of designing and printing onto cotton and paper. Eek I'm so excited about this workshop... This fun and relaxed introductory course to the versatile craft of stencil printing. Guest tutor @melaniewarddesign will be introducing you to stencil printing, using Melanie's own designs inspired by her love of nature you'll learn the basic techniques for use on both fabric and paper. The course has been created for complete beginners and you will be guided through the process of building up your foliage design on the bag using specialist paints and finally how to fix the decoration to ensure it is washable. All materials supplied, an A4 sheet of stencil designs will be yours to keep. Really looking forward to this one it's always fun getting creative with a pumpkin 🎃 We'll be using Fran's homegrown pumpkins from @SimplyCooking and filling them with locally grown flowers. I'll talk you through each step of the process and introduce you to some floristry techniques.
