You inspired me to start watching Nadia: Secret of Blue Water. After the first few episodes, getting to know Grandis's personality, I now consider Jessie/Grandis/Ursula to be an archetype.
you should check out time bokan! marjo/doronjo is where all those characters descend from. the trope is called 三悪 (sanaku)! it's not really just about the female leader but the two male goons with her lolol
I actually tried to compile and put all the versions of the Time Bokan/Yatterman series and spin-off’s villainous teams next to each other i
bimajo is my personal favorite iteration from time bokan~
there's a lot more of this archetype outside of this franchise! petra fina from flint time detective is another!
With the thieves returning in Spooky Month 6, I figured adding a third member to the group, making up for the "terrible trio" trope with a "baroness-like" female thief based on Time Bokan's Doronbo gang.
Is it true that the Dorombo gang shows up,albeit disguised in Kiramekiman? I've seen images of Boyacky being a bar tender and the art style looks in line with it. Maybe I'am mixing it up with the OVA's from that time?
Barista, actually! It's true, they appear in the series as early as the second episode, and their coffee shop they run is a place that makes sporadic appearances where the Flower Detective Trio sometimes discuss their plans to stop the Kiramekiman for that episode.
Try not to think too hard on it-- Time Bokan always pokes fun at itself and this sort of thing is hardly unique to Kiramekiman! Why, they're not the only cameo the show sneaks out...

Pullback Yatter-Wan
- From Yatterman
- by (unknown)
Quick Shot
A very quick shot today.
I picked up this pull-back Yatter-Wan (a pun on "One" and "Wan" - the onomatopoeia for a dog barking in Japanese) at a Book-Off last year.
And I still haven't found any information on the toy.
As a matter of fact, one of the top results when you search is my own post asking for information.
Oh well. It's still a beautiful toy. That's the fun of thrift finds - you can find something you've never even heard of before.
One thing this toy highlights for me is how much I love this color combination.
It's what also attracted me to lines like Momo Planet and Acid Sweeties. Bold, clashing primary colors that somehow still work together.
That combination of red, white, and yellow just says retro toys to me.
