Being a Doom 3 fan in the modern era

Back in the day, you could freely talk about this game without anyone hating on it for the smallest possible reason, or overreaching, or both. Nowadays, sharing opinions (almost) always ends up being a huge argument where people like to gang up on the fans, while spreading the usual, unhinged BS to prove they are actually "right" and a "better/bigger Doom fan":

"DoOM3 IS nOt a ReAL/gOOd DoOM GaME" (it was made by the OG id Software, based on their original vision, stfu)

"WheN DooM3 CaME out eVERyONe HatED it" (it was doing just fine before Eternal came out)

"DOOm 3 wasN'T sUccESSful" (it sold 3 million copies back in 2004, dumbass)

"DOOm 3 Is jUST A TeCH dEMO" (And why is that a bad thing? Interestingly, Half-life fans sometimes refer to HL2 as a "tech demo" yet they universally agree it's still a good game. Why hasn't the Doom community reached this mindset? Why do some have to nitpick on everything?)

While resting today I began work on my AU version of the great Malcolm Betruger.

This is him before he opens the portal on Mars. I will be working on a half demon version and a bloodied version ref sheet of him as well in the near future.

He is by far (as well as Olivia and Ahzrak) my favorite villains of all time. Doom biased lol

By UAC protocol he always has his PDA and high security clearance keycard, but he also carries a hidden dagger and UAC standard issue sidearm. (Just in case)

Did y'all know that I have a crackship between Elizabeth McNeill from Doom 3 and Mayor Kira Morgan from Doom 2 RPG? I'm sad to not be able to work on it more and how I haven't made much sketches regarding it (or even a fanfic but I'm too focused on writing for.... a certain other game). Also funny thing: I've had the pose of the second sketch saved since 14th August last year, so there's that.... Also have some Doom 3 memes:
