“Where have you been this late?” Howard said.  He didn’t shout, but he wanted the truth.

❧ Tony was crouched on the floor under a desk as he frustratedly searched through papers that had fallen off (more like pushed off) the desk. He hadn't been expecting anyone to be wandering around so late at night but the moment he heard footsteps, he sat up; hitting his head on the underside of the desk. —❝Fucking shit.❞ ☙

“You know, if you wanna make a good impression on your brother’s niece, maybe don’t start by breaking into her room.” Claire advised as she twirled a knife between her thin fingers. “Just, you know, an idea. So, who paid you to break into my room and what do they want?” She pointed the knife at him.

“Let’s just say I’m a weirdo.” Zoe answered, removing the safety from the gun. “I want you to leave how you came, yes. I cannot lose this job yet.”
