“Morgan wants to know why we don’t have very many wedding pictures… she was also upset to find out that I didn’t wear a fancy dress.”
The answer was that they hadn't really wanted a fancy wedding... they hadn't wanted the paparazzi all over the place and tabloids talking about it. It was money that could be spent on making the world a better place, rather than on a big, stressful party.
None of which would sound like good reasons to a six-year-old firmly in her Princess Era. "What did you tell her?"
“No ring alpacas… he’ll eat all my gorgeous flowers,” Pepper laughed. Kissing his cheek, she rested her head against Tony’s shoulder. “Here at the lake could be nice.” She agreed for all the reasons he was probably thinking. “Just a small gathering, doesn’t need to be anything huge.” She had liked the quiet lifestyle they now lived. “Morgan would be the cutest flower girl.”
"Okay, but he's got to get a slice of cake," Tony said, putting an arm around her. "Let's see... we'll have Rhodey over, of course, and the Barton family. Little Nate could be the ring bearer, if you insist on no alpacas."
