I've grown weary of uncertainty

I've grown tired of my surrounding examples

people falling in love with the certainty of tomorrow

in the predictable hours it'll bring

People love tomorrow how they love today

without earning or wanting

People grow gain weight and lose hair

without thinking of the childlike hunger they're covering with beer and fried food. 

I want the woman I love tomorrow 

to know that I hope today I love her a little less

I want to fall in love with someone more and more each day

or know I am failing to earn that

When I close my fists as I walk I want it to hold the moment

Not forever

But just long enough that I am aware of the strength of it

because then and only then will anyone be able to guess the future impact

I want to look at myself naked in the mirror

see the imperfections sculpted by missed steps

and collected eatings

to build enough action to rip away non-action.

I will dole out influence to those around me

I will be violent against inactivity. 

I will execute my own excuses.
