I work as a dog handler and the amount of people I work with who know nothing about dogs astounds me!
I was talking to a coworker yesterday and I was like “poodles are working dogs.” and he goes “actually, poodles are a guardian breed like pit bulls.” 😭 I said, “pit bulls are blood sport dogs.” and he looked SO offended (he owns a pit). He said “pit bulls were actually bred to guard children.” Lmaooo so I told him he needs to do some more research and he was like “I’ve been in the industry for over 10 years.” In the industry for over ten years, owns a pitbull and still believes the nanny dog myth?!
Literally the last person who should own a pitbull or be working with dogs. How dumb can you be?!
Part of my job is reading stories to dogs 😌
