Ok I’ve been thinking back on my experience with Wavetide for some reason and let’s just say i’m kind of disappointed in her.

hi guys! So I’m probably gonna take a bit of a break from posting on tumblr (or significantly decrease the amount of stuff I post) because my motivation is going down and I wanna make sure I give myself a break so the burnout doesn’t become worse.

If you haven’t noticed already, for these last 2 months, I’ve been trying (and succeeding) in posting consistently on the blog, with Friday (and later Sunday) being days where I post art, and all of the other days containing a reblog post (or posts if something particularly important to reblog comes up). However, my brain is not built for this kind of consistency, so my motivation has gone down and down and down and down (albeit slower than usual).

now I could just push through the burnout, but to be honest, I already tried that before and it just led to me being burnt out throughout the whole summer, and I haven’t said this before, but I also want to try finishing MWD on August 23rd. So if I burn out in the one season that I’ll actually have basically infinite freetime, then it’s just like… yeah that deadline is null and void. so I thought about it, and I’ve decided I’ll take a bit of a break. Idk how long this will be, but hopefully it’ll be a longer break than usual but not long enough to significantly hinder any projects. This does mean that MWD, Baking Base AU, as well as any writing projects, such as tied by fate AU, will be put on hold while I’m on break. I would like to keep working on them, as I have loads of ideas for all of those projects, but I am just one person at the end of the day, and I’d really rather not force my mind to work on something when it doesn’t feel great enough to do that. So I hope that’s fine. I’m planning to do a weekly update stating how much motivation I have, so I can keep track (plus you can too!) and know when is the optimal time to continue working.
