Blood Hunter Subclass: Order of the Medallion

If you've ever wanted to play as Geralt of Rivia in D&D, this subclass is for you. Blood Hunters already draw heavy inspiration from The Witcher, so I leaned all the way in and built out the different schools as distinct combat paths.

Each school gets their own techniques and playstyle so you can really commit to the fantasy of the monster slayer who trained for years at a specific school. I gave each one its own twist to make them feel unique at the table while still nodding to the source material.

Whether you want to dance around enemies like a Witcher from the School of the Cat, become a battlemage using "sigils" like a Griffin, or tank hits like a Bear, there is something here for everyone. And yes, I made a Lynx school before The Witcher 4 gave us Ciri's full story because I could not wait…

Cleric Subclass: Hunt Domain

The gods of the hunt have always watched over the wilds, guiding those who track and strike with precision, so I crafted a domain that captures this ancient calling. It's one of those subclasses I kind of understand but not at the same time why it hasn't been updated into D&D 5e/2024 from the old 3.5 days, especially with so many great examples of hunting deities in mythology and the lore of the Forgotten Realms.

This takes a different route from what the ranger class handles, so if you are looking to play a cleric who serves as a divine archer, using a ranged weapon as your holy symbol and creating your own hunting ground, this subclass is for you. It blends divine magic with the precision of a hunter, perfect for followers of Artemis, Mielikki, or Malar.

Artificer Subclass: Neuromancer

Psionics have always felt missing from the Artificer, so I decided to fix that. The Neuromancer is a psionics-themed subclass that lets you play out that alien engineer fantasy, using advanced illithid tech to shape semi-organic constructs.

This subclass focuses on battlefield control and support through telepathic links and strange living sentries called Mindspawn. Each of these biomechanical devices acts as an extension of your mind, helping you scout, protect, and disrupt the mind of your enemies.

How would you flavor your character's Psionic Conduit and their connection to this strange mind flayer technology?

Monk Subclass: Way of the Olive Grove

I come from a family of farmers, and I cannot remember a December without getting together with my cousins and uncles to harvest the family olive groves. Even this past year, we were out in the fields, working hard to get that precious olive oil at the end. I wanted to immortalize this niche experience of mine that perhaps some of my Mediterranean neighbors have also seen or lived through themselves.

This monk subclass lets you play into the fantasy of a peaceful farmer that utilizes the tools of their trade to fight. In this case, you master the quarterstaff, which mimics the long poles traditionally used to harvest olives before mechanization simplified the process. This subclass focuses on grounding enemies and supporting allies with the fruits of your labor, using the quarterstaff as your primary weapon in combat.

Barbarian Subclass: Path of the Corporate Ladder

Today’s my birthday, and like every year, I’m celebrating by dropping a brand-new subclass. I’ve been searching for a new job since January, and checking LinkedIn has basically become a daily side quest. It’s been a frustrating grind of rejections and ghosted applications, so I decided to channel all that energy into something creative instead and laugh at my own situation a little. And hey, if any recruiters happen to see this, yes, I’m available, I know how to do cool things and write stuff and all a lot more, I promise…

This subclass is definitely a joke, but that’s kind of the point. It’s designed for modern or urban settings, the perfect joke-character for your friend's one-shot, a barbarian who has truly had enough of corporate life, warriors that have traded pelts for polos.

Some barbarians find their rage in the wilderness, others find it in the fluorescent-lit jungle of the modern office. This is what happens when primal fury collides with performance reviews, passive-aggressive emails, and endless meetings.
