      I believe most disc jockeys would agree that using discount codes for a professional disc jockey service is not a good idea. I’ve studied many disc jockey entertainment websites and I’ve never seen discount codes implemented into their forms nor have I read about ways to receive a discount period. I believe everyone looks for the best deal they can possibly find as long as it’s a professional service, so why not offer your clients an alternative? You can pay full price for my services, or you can refer a friend to my company to earn a discount code to use on your next event. You scratch my back and I scratch yours!       

       In my opinion, rewarding your clients with discounts for bringing new customers is pure genius. As long as you set rules to the referral process then you will have no problem increasing your revenue. The referred client must conduct business in order for the referring client to receive their discount code. It’s that simple! This must be in your policy section of your website along with any other rules you want to set forth. You can write it on your business cards, flyers, or even put it on a car magnet. People will bring you business!     

         Another idea you can add to your referral process is offering your clients a free 4 hour session for referring 5 clients, and of course, all 5 referred clients must conduct business in order for the referring client to receive their free 4 hour session. I give 20% off every time someone refers another person to me. On the 5th person they refer, they get an even bigger reward (a free 4 hour session)! Anyone bringing me 5 paying customers is getting a hug and a free party!     

       I pass out my business cards almost every time I go out. On my business card is a discount code for 10% off. It also says 20% off your first event. That’s 30% off an entire event! Many disc jockeys would call me crazy, but if I can make my clients happy with paying an affordable price for a professional service then I know they will come back. More importantly, I know they will refer a friend. Especially when they realize they can be rewarded for doing so.    

        When filling out an event form on my website to request my services, I ask for every detail I need to know from my clients in order to make their event a night to remember. Towards the end of the form is where I ask my client to type in a password. The email address and password is what they use to log in. Once logged in, I provide my clients with many perks that I will cover later in another post, but the main perk I’m getting to is the ability to enter into a contest to receive a discount code. Simply click on contest then it will bring you to the contest page where it has your name and email already typed in. All you have to do is click submit and your entered into the contest. Every other week I pick a random name and I email that person a 30% off discount code. I keep users wanting to visit my website even though they don’t need my services. It creates traffic and keeps my clients happy. It works for me!
