Do personal mise en place: drink salted water, eat protein, and set one boundary. During service, systemize hydration, rotate hot stations, take 90-second meals, and make “Are you good?” passes. After service, shut your system down with a 10-minute cooldown, quick shower, and brief journal. Build a weekly rhythm for life admin, movement, home-cooked staples, and money check-ins. Week 9b- Assignment 2 Progress
With a week of work on this assessment, it was time to pitch everyone in on how the onesheet and onepage are going.
Onpage/Mockup
After a bit more spriting, this was what I ended up for a mockup image for Hell Riders including spring up another enemy for the game- the tormentor. It did not actually exist in the game as of yet and simply was a sprite that existed for this mockup.
From there, it was transformed into the following:'
Onesheet
As for the onesheet, this is how its going:
As you can see, there is a lot more present now in this image with all four characters drawn up for it. Then with the remaining details it comes to this
All in all, I am pretty happy on how it ended out.
Week 8b: Assignment 2 Progress
Due this coming week was Assignment 2, a Onepage and Onesheet for one of our games that we made a prototype of. After some reflection, I decided to represent Hell Riders with this format as I found it the most interesting game (that and it was based off one of my DnD games and gave me an excuse to draw my DnD character).
Onesheet
Given the example onesheets, I knew I wanted mine to look like a movie poster. Given the action vibes of the game and the selling point of the four playable characters, I designed the onesheet to feature all of them taking action poses against an encroaching wave of demons and whatnot. To begin, I set up a quick sketch of what I wanted to put in.
more will be shown in the next post about it.
Onepage
As for the Onepage, I had some unique challenges ahead of me, which was I wanted to have a lot more of the game previewed within the image displayed for it than what I actually had. To do this, I designed a mockup.
Using this screenshot, I will edit it to show a proper image of gameplay for the onepage.
Finalized Sell-sheet and One-page for personal platformer project
(Illustrated by me:])
The platformer project ive been working on from the very beginning of the semester now has a detailed sell-sheet and one-page. While making these, I had the opportunity to reflect on my own game design and expand on the original ideas i envisioned for the game.
It's a simple extension on the classic platformer game, but with enough new implementations to keep the moment-to-moment gameplay engaging. I tried to combine different types of resources management together to create an original game experience (as suggested by prof. Fullerton in chapter 3, p92 from her book: Game Design Workshop) and hope it can turn out to be a well-crafted prototype.
