In honor of the “death” of ScrewAttack, here’s some old stuff.
In 2007, ScrewAttack briefly had an audio show called Retro Remix. Created by DJ Axis, the series basically consisted of remixed medleys of music from various games (mostly NES) with some talky bits at the beginning. It lasted for 10 “episodes”, or one “season”, and mysteriously vanished from the site in 2008. The tracks can be hard to find and most weren’t picked up by the Internet Archive.
Well, here is my personal collection of all 10 episodes I downloaded back in the day. These are the full episodes, complete with the talky bits. I may have changed the original file names back then but that should be it.
Alternatively, here is a collection of the “Rewind” versions of the songs. These cut the chatter and are higher quality (192kbps vs 128kbps). It was compiled by Artificial Raven. I don’t have the original zip file, but I re-zipped my old copy. Here’s a YouTube playlist of the songs from their channel (where I probably got it). If you only care about the music, this is probably the set to grab.
