A clear open sky, stars scattered as the aurora fly. The trees await the icy embrace of a winter so cold, their leaves will fall, die, endure until a new future lets them unfold. Winter clothes surround her body as she stares up at the dancing lights, the colors of green, purple, and blue brightening the night.

Her eyes glitter as stars fall from above, a shower of meteors flickering and scatter. Another beautiful sight she could see, something Kanto could never have. This is what Sinnoh had to offer? Snow clung to her feet and the waves from Lake Acuity rose and sank onto the shore. It was a small island she sat on which sat in the center of the lake. There was a cave not to far away, but how could she rest inside when there was this gorgeous display?

Was it okay to even be here? Were there rules to not explore this area. Perhaps the cave held something secret, something strong, like her friend Mewtwo caught long ago. If there were warnings in place, nobody had stopped her. She saw a few people on the route below the lake, but too far to make conversation. Would they tell someone that a strange girl was seen at the lake? How could she worry about something like that right now? The stars, the water, the snow, even the Goldeen that splashed around took her into a trance.

She did not at all notice a girl with a pink coat and white hat had joined her during her daze.

Well someone was dressed properly for the weather in the valley, but they also didn’t seem like they were actually from here either. In fact, the girl looked like she might well be very lost in the snowy wonderland on her own. A good person would’ve stopped, and tried to help her without even pausing to think about it. Ice kept his distance for a bit, he thought she would figure it out eventually.

But it had been awhile since he’d passed by last and she hadn’t exactly moved far when he’d come back around again. No rangers nearby to assist, and nothing but a mess of dangerous pokemon if you went the wrong way. Apparently Ice had been signed on to play the reluctant hero for a minute.
