want to keep the original colours but make it fit eachother's reversed roles

robert's name is "blue flames" bcs i want to keep the flam-bae theming

robert's based on marvel rival's phoenix design bcs i'm thinking that his combat kit is similar to her -- the flared off blue sash shows the astral pulse' stability. the lil black attachments are stabilisers for the pulse.

chad will still have his iconic chest window (so help me god) because that's integral to who he is 🫵 the red gem gets to sit between his beautiful boobs as a treat robert may or may not be jealous of the semi-sentient superpowered gemstone

chad's colour-palette gets to have white to make his palette less villain and closer to "generic hero"; think mandy's blonde blazer

robert gets to have the brown jacket bcs (1) cunty (2) his suit came from the pulse directly -- a la magical girls -- so without the jacket he's basically one layer away from. flashing the world. which i think he'd hate. so he gets the fuckass brown jacket

(3) also, design wise, the jacket helps to tie in his hair colour to the colour-palette

robert still has a secret identity, hence the mask. chad does too but he has the clark kent effect + instant bleach so he doesn't need the mask.

flambae has a very mean girl archetype ingame (duo-ing with prism) so i want to carry that to this blond blazer version; he's the poster boy but still showboaty and bratty, though pulled back a lot to keep everything PG

funfact: incase you weren't here for the original wip post -- robert got his powers because he was severely injured with a gaping chest wound, and shoved the astral pulse inside as a last desperate resort to keep it from being stolen. it ended up melding into him.

I've changed the plot around a bit from what I wrote in my original post so basically robbie is still called astral (like "the mech astral" but people just call him astral) but he's the leader of the red ring and he killed shroud (called illumine in my au) in the past because of a whole thing with the astral pulse that I'll explain in a separate post probably lol. anyway that means that robert growing up was the heir to the red ring I guess and was a high position member by being the son of the leader and probably did a lot of whatever crimes they do in red ring or something.. ? plus since he takes the narrative role of the original visi and she takes the role of the original robert he also sabotaged reverse visi where his version of planting the bomb is that he used infrared vision to see her and used like a smoke bomb or something to trigger her asthma/permanently damage her lung capacity

speed demon (chase) I imagine was a right hand man figure to robbie so in that sense probably did similar red ring crimes (whatever it is they do. I honestly don't really know tbh I can't remember) but he escaped/left with robert after the smoke bomb incident. in the reverse au robbie is basically the exact copy of original shroud in that he does cybernetic enhancements on people as a kind of exchange for red ring membership that he can control remotely so I like to think in this au chase had discovered earlier on that his powers made him age faster and robbie gave him enhancements to counteract that, but once he left the red ring the enhancements stopped working (same as canon visi with her enhancements) which is why I designed him to look younger than the original chase since he like. well he wasn't aging that much for a while but then he was. if that makes sense. I just realized that didn't answer your question and I was just ranting about unrelated things but I just wanted to get it out there lol
