this is my headsup post that I love visi I love complex morally grey dubious flawed women if you're not rocking with her unfortunately you're not rocking with me. that's my favourite woman who is kind of evil 🙏🙏🙏I actually didn't particularly care for her until this reveal if you hate her that's fine I understand that she's not a character for everyone but me personally I like my women desperate complex flawed a little evil duplicitous backstabbing reckless self-serving but also self-sacrificing like idc man I love when a woman gets a little evil with it GODBLESS !!!!!!!!
been thinking about it and I think when writing blonde blazer they really should've leaned way harder into her being like a corporate awkward corny "hang in there" motivational poster style person. does this make any sense. first scene with invisigal BB says "freaking" and invisigal makes a comment like "wow she cussed this must be serious" and then they proceed to never stick to this characterization by having her just be fine with swearing after this. like she's just saying shit and dick and fuck and then it was like why was there even a line about her saying "freaking" and invisigal making it seem like she self censors often. okay logically I knowww it's because she's self censoring in professional settings and she feels comfortable to swear in these other scenes but I just feel like they should've leaned into it way harder I think she's cute when she tries hard to be corporate and professional and I think making her swear less would give more impact to when she actually does and it would play into her desire to be her "real self" and not the persona of blonde blazer. idk if this makes any sense at all this is kind of a minor thing but I wish they did this.. I'm explaining this so bad basically my vision is that I think BB should've been trying harder to be the perfect corporate family/advertiser friendly version people expect of her, one of the ways this could be characterized being her self censoring and not swearing often, which would make the moment she reveals herself as mandy (and allows herself to swear) feel more impactful to me because it makes it clearer BB is a corporate persona she puts on that no real person actually acts as. does this make senseeeeee idk sorry if it doesn't

I've been thinking about the breakroom scene with visi where she says something like "my life wasn't any different than yours, I had to watch my back too while growing up with a bunch of villains" and robert's following options are "you need to pick better friends", "you chose that life", and "I can't just disappear when problems come up" and also in the bar in episode 5 he has a line that's something similar to "I would argue they messed up their own lives by choosing to be villains" which made me think well how does he even know she chose that life? or really any of the z team necessarily? like yeah okay some of them might have in fact "chosen that life", but it would've been interesting to explore a version of robert who's ignorant to how circumstances can force people to do bad things and that it's not just a matter of "choosing to do the right thing" at all times, because some people aren't given that choice. it probably would've been too much for the game to explore on top of exploring the idea of redemption (which I would argue it doesn't even do that very well.. lol....) but it would be interesting to consider a robert who, despite his bad relationship with his dad and all that, still came from a place of privilege and internalized ideas about all villains "choosing" that life, ignorant of the fact there could be systemic factors that might've forced them to go down that path or something like that. would they have handled this properly I mean. I think probably not but it's interesting conceptually
this combined with a mentor/mentee relationship with visi where it isn't framed like her desire to change is motivated by her romantic feelings for robert (like how it was done in canon) and instead framed as her needing a person to consistently not assume the worst of her and support her, then it could make their relationship into a mutually beneficial experience where they both grow from it. Visi needs someone who believes she's capable of being a good person, and robert could learn from visi to deconstruct his own prejudices, THEREFORE allowing him to grow closer to the z-team as a whole as he understands villainy can sometimes be the only choice for people who are marginalized or in desperate situations, and that people need institutional/widescale (?) support to avoid that outcome. or something. idk
