sarahhaley101: Do you get the ringing in your ears constantly?
sarahhaley101:Ā Could be tinnitus
sarahhaley101: But if the tests came back with negatives then processing issues does sound more likely
The ringing isnāt constant, and itās often closer to a combination of a whistle and the rushing of the ocean rather than a high pitched whine.Ā
Occasionally, it can be down to another issue I have with my ears (too narrow ear canals), but Iām not experiencing any of the usual symptoms that are associated with that.
Also, yeah, apparently one of the tests I had would have identified tinnitus, and an ear, nose, and throat specialist found nothing amissĀ ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
The more I think about it, the more I am leaning towards it being a processing issue.
deviantdragons:Ā if you haven't already, ask your doctor for a referral to a specialist? sometimes test results aren't always concrete.
I have been to a specialist ear, nose, and throat doctor, and went through the entire examination.Ā
He did find that I couldnāt hear as well out of my right ear, and suggested it may be nerve damage. However, thatās been disproven by two hearing tests after the fact, as they come up with perfectly good hearing.Ā
Those, however, were in a controlled environment.
imessedup-bettertryitagain:Ā I have adio processing issues and I do have a ringing in my ears. But both stem from my add so... Shurg
Ah, okay, so audio processing can also include ear ringing?Ā
I wasnāt absolutely certain of that, as most of what Iāve read/been told about it only had information on the difficulty it can cause in busy environments and conversation.
queervagabond:Ā mine fluctuates a lot so possibly!
Oh, so itās not so much as itās constantly bad and only gets worse? Do you have some days where your hearing is better than others then?
