Mark Rosewater’s presence and typing style on blogatog are relatively formal and calm, so it’s kinda easy to forget how ridiculously enthusiastic and energetic he is in real life

Dai Gyakuten Saiban’s cases are SO good thus far
Case 1 was one of the best tutorial cases in the series- the methodology of the murder and the villain both being legitimately pretty clever and interesting whereas most starter cases are painfully simple (the exceptions to this, imo, being AA3 and AA4)
Case 2 was just pure fucking fun, and the removal of the trial allowed for them to really play around with the investigation in a way most main-line Ace Attorney games just don’t. Also Holmes is just so fucking entertaining and locked room murders are great
Case 3 is Naruhodou’s first REAL case as an attorney, and it’s already causing him to question his faith in his client and face the very real possibility that his defendant IS the killer, which is something Nick didn’t have to really endure until... Matt Engarde? His like 9th murder trial?? Also having an actual jury react to your arguments is really neat and Barok van Zieks is WONDERFULLY extra
The game just has a really good sense of gravitas and style, I’m completely in love with it. I hope it pulls off a good finale too, because the last case is usually the one that defines my feelings about each game in the series
The cast of Critical Role dressed as Vox Machina back during campaign 1 and I really really hope they do that someday for the Mighty Nein
Primarily because only two of them are human and the rest have technicolor skin and hair colors and so seeing most of the cast in bright ass rainbow makeup and wigs would just fucking make my day
Maybe I'm just misremembering, but I don't really recall either Dual Destinies or Spirit of Justice using this little visual gimmick where the characters turn and look at something in the environment?
The characters in AA games (and a lot of visual novels in general) always feel like they have a wall between them and the scene of an investigation, so it actually kinda catches me off guard to see them like... actually act like a physical person standing in that space? lmao
