Me @ Amy detractors whenever they want to propose gruesome scenarios of Amy being deleted, have her traits be demonized to the point of having a personality of a blank cardboard or making her the *shudders* Mum Friend
Headcanon: While there’s no denying that Amy would’ve been affected badly by Sonic’s (possible) death, I don’t think that she would’ve committed sui*id3 just so that she can be with him in the afterlife.
Amy is girl who is full of life and energy and I think she and everyone that Sonic is close with would agree that Sonic would’ve want his friends to continue on living for his own sake and their own as well.
06 is another example where despite everyone being saddened by his death, the moment Elise revealed that Sonic can be revived, Amy was one of the very first people to take that chance.
That’s why I’m so against headcanons like these examples because not only does it paint a grotesque image of Amy but it’s incredibly insensitive as well. Su*c1d3 is never meant to be romanticized in any way and it’s just incredibly disappointing how certain media sees it that way and fans just gobbled this junk up.
To follow up on @gritsandbrits talk on misogyny and sexism in the Sonic fandom, I want post an unfriendly reminder that Amy Rose, the lead female of the Sonic franchise, is and still gets hate from the venomous clowns. From using terms like stalker to express their dislike of her, slutshaming her, want the other Sonic characters AKA her own friends and allies to murder her for no reason but the fanfic author having a hateboner for Amy (therefore throwing away their canon morality save for Eggman and the other villains), being demonized not just for shipping but also to paint her in a bad light to even wanting SEGA to retire her whole entire character completely!
