If there's one thing I truly appreciate in Arnav it's his ability to be in the moment, whether he hates Khushi or loves her, he does it wholeheartedly. Also the progression (idk what the correct order of the pictures should be but this still gets me) 🥺.
I have to be honest, I watched ipkknd really really late and so to me despite Arnav def being a complete asshole in the beginning he seemed like a better man than many other ITV male leads, I suppose because he was self aware of who he was as a person, he wasn't shown in a good light, we weren't asked to just go along with his jerk guy moves and the rabba ves didn't start till they actually should have, don't get me wrong, Arnav is in no way a perfect guy or close to one but the consistency of his character (save for a few tracks) is something I'm really happy with, hence the gratification for the progression in his and Khushi's relationship, I'm glad the change in him didn't come out of nowhere or overnight, it was subtle and felt real. Also I really appreciated his ability to truly understand Khushi even before the two became aware of it themselves, for reference in one of the earlier episodes when Khushi returns to the office to get Devi Mata's murti and Arnav loses his cool, I was really stunned to see him step back and feel guilty (I guess I'm just really used to male leads hurting the FLs and storming off more often than not, which is unfortunate), the way he always turned around to give Khushi privacy when her dupatta flew or got caught into something, there's honestly too many incidents to name but the point is I love ipkknd and God am I happy I finally have this blog to talk about them.
I'll try and write in a more orderly fashion from now because I have just haphazardly spilled a lot of thoughts here.
Apne paun pe khud kulhari marna is what Pakistani and Indian dramas do when they start with really good, progressive messages and then go downhill or extend the drama unnecessarily and add plotlines that don't even fit with the initial message the drama was supposed to give and it becomes another full of potential drama that got ruined due to forceful insertion of clichés that should've been abandoned in 2012.

Happy Diwali!!!!
This one is for all of ipkknd fans still keeping the show alive, I know I joined late but you guys are all so lovely and kind and welcoming, and ipk is forever going to be one of my favourite ITV shows, and especially you @jalebi-weds-bluetooth , first of all I love you AJ, I wanted to thank you for everything, the incredible posts you make not just critically analysing the show but also taking the time to carefully answer each of your asks so kindly, I'm really glad I found you here and I hope you can have an incredible Diwali even if most of it is online haha.
Something about watching mjht again is making me so sad like ugh it reminds me of like early 2000s wale shows that aired on Star One, and I grew up on that way before Channel V even though I was a teen during V ka hype, but Star One had some good original premises yk (maybe not pkyek but I was a sucker for that nonetheless), like seeing people in the show wearing what was considered cool then is funny cause most people now wouldn't be caught dead in those low rise skirts or whatever but it is good to see because these characters act like teens at least, they're petty and make mistakes and study and have things other than sex on their mind (which I'm so tired of ott shows for, have they not met a good part of Indian teenage population ?) It's sad because ik for a fact that ITV could have grown to do much more each time the creators take risks, the audience fails them and we're stuck with the same show with different names on loop. Like the creators of mjht could have very well just stereotyped Mayank or Sameer as just a nerd or just a player but they are more than that, and for once the girl in the glasses is not a timid scaredy-cat, she may be quiet but she stands up for herself, I am not in my Nupur lover era yet so I'll hold back thoughts on that but yeah the show is making me very very nostalgic, I can't believe I miss the times when I was barely even aware of the world outside my house but I am.
Ykw I've given up on Udariyaan first off voot sucks on phone and I'm too lazy to keep getting my laptop, and also my OTP is estranged on BB rn so imma just wait for a real life story
