I just wanted to say that I am so, so excited for the next chapter of Dérive....the tension is about to hit a breaking point, and I cant wait to see what happens next. Especially with Versos family and their reactions to Gustave and all of the changes to the curriculum. Plus, I almost feel like the the Drift training between Verso and Gustave has been going almost too smoothly...somethings going to give

ONE OF THE BASIC situationist practices is the dérive [literally: “drifting”], a technique of rapid passage through varied ambiances. Dérives involve playful-constructive behavior and awareness of psychogeographical effects, and are thus quite different from the classic notions of journey or stroll.
In a dérive one or more persons during a certain period drop their relations, their work and leisure activities, and all their other usual motives for movement and action, and let themselves be drawn by the attractions of the terrain and the encounters they find there. Chance is a less important factor in this activity than one might think: from a dérive point of view cities have psychogeographical contours, with constant currents, fixed points and vortexes that strongly discourage entry into or exit from certain zones.
But the dérive includes both this letting-go and its necessary contradiction: the domination of psychogeographical variations by the knowledge and calculation of their possibilities. In this latter regard, ecological science — despite the narrow social space to which it limits itself — provides psychogeography with abundant data.

Hello! Just wanted to say your and Masken's fic "Dérive" is soso amazing. I haven't found myself hooked on a fic like this in a while! Masken's gorgeous art and with your incredible writing I have literally read through all of the chapters in one sit. I can't even wait to read the rest of it, thank you so much for both of your hardwork!!
Listen, @maskenjager is one of the best collaborators I have EVER worked with, and is just as fucking feral for Pacific Rim AUs as I am, so we're just feeding off of each other at this point.
(The amount of things Masken has asked me for and I've just... added it to the fic is fucking substantial now, and it just keeps getting longer and funnier and is not limited to - The Jaegers having tails (which became a major relevant plot point), Gustave's Nipple Ring (which became a major thirsting plot point), Sexy Sparring, Scar Worship, Bad Pain Days, Gustave in Glasses, Gustave in a Suit...)
Let's just say the list is extensive, and it's almost as extensive as the fic itself!
