Mega Necklace Denryuu | Ampharos 287th $5 commission! Want some? http://autobottesla.tumblr.com/post/130719845308/
Thank you for making me feel better, I didn't get to read your reply until basically right now. thank you so much
denryuu replied to your post: I observed Spencer eating some apple-p...
My green cheek conure does that with all of his apples! He just spits out the apple when it’s not all tasty anymore.
They're such weird little birds! I find dried-up, chewed-up fruit bits all over the living room. -_-
Do you have any good references or even out of your own knowledge, ideas on how to make metallic pieces for cosplay such as armor?
There are a ton of good tutorials out there. Honestly unless I know what more specifics for the kind of pieces you’re wanting to make I wouldn’t be able to to much good. Plus my specialty for such things are generally smaller pieces right now.
I’ve made metal pieces for cosplay a plethora of ways, I've used: resin, sheet metal, Sculpey, craft foam, plastic, bondo, fabric, etc…
There are some amazing craft-foam armor techniques out there. If you are indeed looking to make armor I’d look into those, although to be fair I’ve never made full armor only little bits. There are also people who swear by wonderflex & worbla; I've never used them personally because they are not available locally & thus are usually cost and/or time prohibitive for me when needed.
I usually pick the material based on the finished piece's placement on the costume, what kind of wear/tear it will have to endure, and what kind of function (if any) it needs to have. Sometimes the decision is based solely on what I have on hand at the time. ^^;

Ampharos Pokemon Time Tin And Mug (Mug in next post.)
I took so many pictures of this thing that I thought I should break it up into two posts. This tin has a really cute Ampharos cup in it, but just LOOK at the tin itself. It has little Amphys all around it with colorful lights and stars. The mini Amphys have three designs. Then, there's a big Ampharos on the lid with the Pokemon Time logo.
They also made Gardevoir and Deoxys. All three can be found for sale here.
