i love that one of the main messages of the barbie movie is that you have to find your own meaning. ken has to figure out who he is without barbie. barbie spends the whole movie thinking about what makes her unique, because previously she’s always been stereotypical barbie. which is not a bad thing to be, but stereotypes are just ideas, and barbie wants to be more than an idea. i just love this movie 😭😭💕

the whole kala/tunnel girl thing on tiktok is truly symptomatic of a lack of community in (american) society today. this lady has no respect for the people living near her, which we can see by her not going through the proper channels to get permits, creating tons of noise pollution with construction, posting videos of her neighbors without their knowledge, etc. I’m glad she’s been stopped and I hope the people living near her are safe.

my fav fanfiction is kink negotiation

i recently had a guy telling me about how his brother makes a bunch of money by creating AIs for companies, but the brother is also a teacher and thus contracts the work out to his students (who do get paid thankfully), and all i could think to say was “i hope all the extra time allows your brother to be a better teacher” while all i was thinking about was how capitalism is a curse upon this land

so I just started grad school and I had a class today w an instructor who’s brand new and kind of unconventional and 2 people are already planning on switching to a different class which I totally get but also is making me question if I’m the weird one bc I really enjoyed the class - it wasn’t structured and there was ample opportunity to talk and exchange knowledge. idk it’s just got me feeling a little sad that this already small class is going to get smaller

it would be great if you could like replies on posts (but who knows, maybe i’m just on tiktok too much these days) (a good amount of my dopamine comes from people liking my comments lol)
