CLOSED / @delphine-dupont LOCATION: Primordial Clubhouse
It feels like Reina was just here — sweeping into the clubhouse with her sights set on a Siren to do her dirty work. It’s almost like deja vu that she’s back again looking for that very Siren, except this time, she’s on a warpath instead of a mission. Reina should’ve known better than to trust a one of the club’s whores to keep her stupid little mouth shut, but at the time she hadn’t yet heard through the grapevine that Delphine and Seth were involved — although, she probably should have just assumed that, considering how disgusting Seth is. The rumor mill in their circle is relentless and apparently the two of them are fucking all over the place for the world to hear, so it’d been a double slap in the face for Reina to then have her assed reemed out from Seth because of that. So yeah, she’s pissed, and it’s pretty obvious from the way she round on Delphine as soon as she sees her. “You wanna explain to me why you felt the need to cry to Seth about your little excursion, sweetheart?” Her words come out as a low hiss, jaw clenched as she speaks through her teeth. “I thought we had an understanding.”
This MOTHER’S DAY, Andy spent the day with his mother, Rhea Thane. He arrived early to cook her breakfast, before spending the day doing whatever she wanted, only to end the day with a family dinner, with each Thane brother and their family’s in attendance. The day is spent with laughter, and joy -- With only a brief conversation shared between him and his mother during breakfast about Andy’s late daughter, Madison, and a question of what Rowan was doing to celebrate the holiday. He doesn’t answer either, happily changing the topic to something lighter. While spending the day tucked away in his mother’s home, Andy has three bouquets sent out for delivery in the mean time.
The first, arrived at the desk of Delphine Warren, Andy’s birth mother. Though the two aren’t close, and his relationship with her is strained, he still tries to at least send her flowers on Mother’s Day. A bouquet of orchids arrived in the middle of a math lesson with her second grade class, successfully causing her to lose the attention of her class with the commotion. The note attached merely says ‘Happy Mother’s day, Del. - AT’.
The second arrived at the front door of Sylvia Warren’s apartment, Andy’s biological sister. The two are decently close, always making an effort to send one another cards on holidays, if they can’t call, or make time to visit. After the divorce, Sylvia and her son, Benny, came to visit each Mother’s Day while Andy was locked away, knowing the holiday was a difficult one for him. The only two people who know about this are Andy, and Rhea Thane. A large bouquet of hydrangea’s arrive at her door step, sending her once fussy one and a half year old into a fit of excitement, making the morning a bit brighter. The note attached contains something a bit more sincere, simple and right to the point -- ‘Thank you. Love you. Happy Mother’s Day. - Andy.’ He hears about how much Benny loves the flowers in a phone call shortly after the flower’s arrival.
The last is sent to the Olympus General Hospital ER, to Dr. Rowan Thane, the name known by the flower shop from an order from 2011. A bouquet of sunflowers and lilacs mixed together, much larger than the other two ordered sit set by the front desk by a confused intern, unsure if the delivery man had the right Rowan in mind. The note doesn’t say anything, only reads ‘xx Andy’ in Andy’s handwriting, rather than a typed message that had been printed on card stock.

They used to be quite the group of friends, himself, Diane and Rico. And then it had suddenly turned into just him and Rico, both of them lost as to where and why, but still staying at each others side. He knows his friend had lost his love, and it was therefore harder on him. But Matthieu had still lost a friend.
Or so he thought.
Because one day Rico is sitting in his kitchen telling him that she is back, not dead and not Diane. Delphine. A name he’ll have to get used to. A name he had first heard in a request to get rid of whoever was wanting to hurt her. A request he had happily agreed to. But before anything else, he needed to see her. After all this time, despite Ricos word, he wanted to see her for himself. He knew the ins and outs of things, of the lifestyle she apparently lived, because he lived one similar, but still it was strange, for her to suddenly come back from the dead.
There’s no mistaking it, when he sees her across the dining room at Soliel, that it’s Diane Delphine. He recognizes her easily, and makes his way over. “it’s like seeing a bloody ghost,” is the first thing they say as they approach, hands wrapping around the top of the chair opposite her. “What the hell?” comes their next response, because they’re stuck on shock.

@delphincd.
in finding delphine, it wasn’t the vogue contacts phone book vivian had resorted to. it was that good old, nickname filled notebook -- the one with the numbers that were useful for her jobs, and not her job. someone from the old days would have heard something about her returnal, or maybe know of a friend of a friend who had something to do with finding a new spot for the woman in the city. vivian was certain; it couldn’t be that hard.
sure, viv could have simply asked her. knowing she was back in town was enough for her to think del was in already, but not everyone was so open to their ideas as julian or viv herself. and so she had to be creative. the element of surprise had to be her secret weapon. she gets to said delphine’s building early in the morning, sunglasses covering half her disposition and the not at all suspicious look on her face. as a young dog walker struggles to control all four animals on their collars, vivian approaches the scene. “let me get that for you. i’m going in anyway.” she holds the door open for the stranger and tilts her head in a polite you’re welcome. naturally, vivian slips into the lobby. game on.
casual steps towards the elevator; vivian can’t be too quick, that’s too much of a red flag. only by hearing the receptionist talk to one of the residents does she slow down, heading the desk and going through a few panflets and mail as an excuse to properly eavesdrop. nothing interesting - saying there was a family moving in, saying they should be done by the afternoon, saying they carried about a thousand boxes up and still weren’t quite done - and so she’s back on her journey, nearly entering the elevator when she’s finally noticed.
‘ma’am? may i help you?’ it’s the receptionist. she turns around on her heels at the cue of a long, silent shiiiit.
“oh no, not me, dear!” replies viv rather nonchalantly, in the one specific accent she usually hides behind when things get messy. she’s learned to think fast; and as a puzzled look takes over the concierge’s features, she spots one of the many moving boxes on the ground. places her purse on top of one and picks it up on a bit of a struggle. bright smile on her face, though. “just moving in! one less box for you boys to worry about, huh.” and enters the elevator, seeing confusion melt into embarassment in their faces as the metallic doors meet in the middle.
she’s already going through the box to search for an unexpected profit when the elevator doors slide open. must have been quite the surprise for delphine to spot her there, fur coat and all, inspecting one of the vases she found inside the box. “delphine hansen,” she muses, lowering her head to look at the woman from above her sunglasses, almost as if making sure that really was her friend. “god, you look good. i thought time would miraculously make me the hottest in the group or something,” teases viv in a clearly not the case sigh, leaving the box on the elevator before stepping out into the hall. “here, for your new place.” and casually offers her the small vase, already trying to figure out which one of the doors is the one delphine calls her own. “wanna show me ‘round?”
