Dallas and Lucy were the sweetest childhood sweethearts you ever could meet, but their young marriage has been burdened with more chaos than smooth sailing. Life happened in a big way for these two. But their girls are growing up, and they're hoping that life will happen in a softer way from here forward.

Dallas's twin sisters, Delphie and Dakota (18).

Delphie was valedictorian of her high school class. She's an ambitious young woman, currently studying Biology at Sierra Nova University. Dakota excelled only at making noise in her high school years, and now she also attends SNU with her sister, majoring in music and living her life to the extreme.

Their parents, Orion (55) and Violet (54).

Violet is a best-selling science fiction author. Orion was a robotics engineer by profession, but is now part of a hushed interstellar mission to a neighboring star. Humankind has been invited to visit, and Orion volunteered to be one of the first to journey to the planet where his ancestors come from.

Andre Sylvester (27) and his girlfriend Karla Glynnan (24).

Karla met Andre while studying abroad at Buttercup Vet School. They fell in love fast, and then Andre followed her on a whirlwind fantasy adventure that they could never explain to his family. Now it's Karla's turn to follow her man back home to Sierra Nova for a more normal kind of adventure. But maybe "normal" won't mean easy.

Andre's ex, Selena Sosa (25), and her roommate Summer Phoenix (24, also Lucy's high school BFF).

Selena never did hear what happened to Andre when he promised to keep in touch and then didn't keep in touch at all. But now that he's back in town, it's only a matter of time before she finds out what he’s been up to.

Tyler (25, high school friend of Lucy and Dallas, also Summer's ex) and Maya (27, Tyler's wife, leader of climb club).

Tyler is a personal trainer and manager of Oasis Extreme Adventure Park. Maya works as a robotics engineer at Nebula Robotics by day and moonlights as the country's top climbing instructor. She and Tyler met during the war when he was an ISCA recruit and she was an engineer.
