Stan Pines (Twin of Ford Pines): Submitted by @too-many-fandoms-to-choose-one. Stan and Ford were inseperable as children. Stan was protective of his physically weaker brother standing up against bullies for Ford. Stan wholeheartedly accepted Ford's six fingers even incorporating that into their personal handshake. At first he was proud of his brother's brilliance. Although, he allowed his fears about losing his brother lead to him hurting his brother and becoming estranged Stan never forgot his brother. He called him at least once and Stan kept a photo of the two of them taped to his car's shade. Stan is quick to respond when Ford sent him a postcard requesting his presence but becomes angry when he realises this is not a reunion to make amends but a banishment. Stan spends the next 30 years trying to figure a way to reopen the portal and bring Ford back. When Ford is returned Stan tries to invite him back ambicably. While imprisoned Stan and Ford finally are united to try and find a way out and to save Dipper and Mabel and they talk about what went wrong between them. After his memory is recovered he is deeply moved by the invitation by Ford to hunt anomoalies with him as a realisation of his childhood dream. He welcomes Ford's comfort when Dipper and Mabel leave.
