“Nev turned back toward the sprawling emptiness of the house, and at the far end of the hall, they saw a ghost.”
Fanart of Deephaven by Ethan M. Aldridge 🍂
Yet another book I wish I could go back in time and give to my younger self. Deephaven by @ethanmaldridge is a chapter book for young readers featuring eldritch horror and found family. I picked this book up because I enjoyed Aldridge's webcomic, Sable, and while Deephaven is primarily prose, there are beautiful illustrations for each chapter. All this to say I would perish for Nev.
Want to listen to the first chapter (and then some) of the DEEPHAVEN audiobook?
Listen if you dare . . .
I'll be honest, hearing my name and book title read over the moody orchestral opening of an audiobook made me shiver.
You can get the full audiobook now on LIBBY, Libro.fm, Audible, and Google Play!
Deephaven: Scrimshaw in a nutshell
Some really goofy fanart of a genuinely amazing book series by @ethanmaldridge called Deephaven. I freaking loved it, and if you are someone like me who loves middle-school grade gothic stories, you’d probably enjoy this too.
