They make their way over to the couch, landing more on top of each other than the cushions, but Buck can’t be bothered to move. Eddie’s warm, his breaths still huffing softly over Buck’s neck as his laughter slows. Buck relaxes too, lets his head fall back against Eddie’s shoulder and looks up at the cut of his jaw with eyes that blur at the edges.

“You know what would really hit the spot right now?” He asks, and he thinks his voice might be too loud but he doesn’t care. “Fucking--Wendy’s.”

“Are you kidding me?” Eddie’s voice trembles like he’s holding back more giggles. “You just ate every appetizer in the entire bar.”

Buck whines. “I’m still hungry.”

“You’re a bottomless pit.”

Buck shrugs; he’s not wrong. “Like you don’t get cravings when you’re drunk.”

“I don’t.”

Buck rolls his eyes, sitting up so he can look at Eddie. “Oh come on, Eddie. I’ve seen the way you look at--um--the thing with the--”

He makes a swirling motion with his hand. Eddie looks at him, slightly dazed. 

“Cotton candy?” He suggests.

Buck leans over to get as close to Eddie’s face as he can. “Is that what you’re craving?”

“No,” Eddie murmurs. Buck sighs, leaning away from Eddie’s face again and flopping over next to him.

“I feel like you have to be lying,” Buck tells the ceiling, “there’s gotta be something you want. Like right now, I’d do anything to get my hands on a fucking frosty.”

“I don’t want a frosty,” Eddie complains, turning his head against the back of the couch. Buck turns his head too, their faces a hairsbreadth apart.

“I know you don’t want one,” Buck tells him, and his voice has quieted of its own accord. He watches Eddie watch him. “I’m saying I want one more than anything right now.”

“Well, I can’t get you a frosty,” Eddie says, and Buck frowns. “But right now, i think you should kiss me."

Buck’s breath hitches. He watches the flush creep up Eddie’s cheeks, feeling a sly grin taking over his mouth. “Is that what you’re craving, Eddie?”

Eddie swallows. “Yea.”

Buck nudges his head closer so their noses touch. Eddie’s eyes are hazy but intensely focused on Buck’s mouth. He looks like he’s holding his breath.

“Hm,” Buck murmurs, “I think that can be arranged.”

He closes the gap between them, feeling altogether too smug at the noise Eddie makes when their lips touch. Eddie’s hand comes up to cup his face immediately, and Buck leans into him harder, his own hand coming up to grip Eddie’s waist.

Eddie pulls back after a moment, panting and wide-eyed. “Should we talk about this?”

Buck can’t look away from his mouth. “Probably.”

Eddie shrugs and leans back in to kiss him again. They’ll deal with the fallout later.
