Dear Chan,

Hello! My name’s Kaede. I uh, I don’t exactly know what to write about. 

Last weekend my family and I went out to another city a couple hours away from Sydney to camp- er- I’m not sure if it could be considered camping though. The place we stayed was right next to a beach, and there was a bunch of rocks you could walk along next to it. I was the only one who really went very far on them; it was really nice and peaceful. I stayed there for a while, the only sound was the waves and the sun was setting at the time, so the sky was a really beautiful colour.

Nothing bad happened to me this week, which I’m glad for. I’ve been stressing a tiny bit over how many things I should be writing, but NCT is having a lot of come-backs, and you guys are also putting out a lot of content, so it’s been hard to keep up with all that along with my interests like drawing, reading and writing. I’ve been managing somehow, but haven’t been watching as much of your content, and I know you’re probably okay with that, since you wouldn’t want me to be stressed.

I just want to say that you’re really incredible. The things you and the rest of Stray Kids do is amazing, the things you write about are beautiful. I know it sounds really weird, but about two years ago my mental state wasn’t great. I had really low self-esteem, I thought I was fat and ugly...I used to have horrible social anxiety, depression and insomnia too. Here’s the weird part, since getting into kpop, all of it has gotten a lot better. I’ve stopped doing any form of self-harm and my mental health is in a really good state. I wanted to thank you, the rest of skz and all the other kpop groups I stan for that.

School starts soon, and I'm not really looking forward to it, but what can you do? I just need to suck it up I suppose.

I definitely want to get a request I got finished this week! I’ll probably finish it soon anyway. I also want to finish the first chapter of this fic I’ve been working on. It’s going to be longer than my others hopefully, and I think people will really like it. Hmmm, since I’m only writing this letter to you in theory, I’ll tell you that you have a role in the fic and it...uh- I don’t want to give any spoilers if any of my followers are reading this but yes! It’s an important role~

Dear Chan,

This past week has been a whirlwind of emotions for me. I’ve been having panic attacks at night and found that Stray Kid’s music greatly helps me calm down. I’ve had all the albums on repeat and last night I didn’t have one!

I hope you’re ok and I hope you’re having a good week too! Thank you for everything you do for stays and thank you for caring and helping me through this rough time.

Dear Bang Chan,

Hi! Okay so, I don't know of you'll ever read this, but I just wanted to write this in case you do actually have a Tumblr account, because you need to hear this.

For my entire life, I've been stricken with depression and anxiety, too afraid to put myself out there, and too scared to make friends on my own. Even now, at nearly fifteen years old, im terrified of doing those on my own.

I have friends, but when they occasionally invite me places, I ultimately make up excuses as to why I couldn't go, because I don't have the energy or bravery to do so. I do say yes, obviously, but not as much as I should.

My home life never was the best, not dangerous, but I'll just say that I feel like I can never be myself around them. They judge all my interests and put them down.

It wasn't until a week after your debut, that I finally found my outlet for my dark web of loneliness and constant anxiety. District 9 was an amazing debut, and I was eager to know more about the boys who wanted to be different.

I've already been a kpop fan since April of 2015, and I've heard of you guys before with hellevator, but I never watched or listened to your mixtape album.

Of course, I read articles and profiles of you guys, watched the survival show whenever I could, because I always found it interesting. Interesting for JYP to debut a group he almost had zero control over.

All nine of you have been my outlet. Your music makes me know that I'm not alone in my struggles, and you bring things up that a lot of people are scared to- such as government issues.

I just wanted to tell you- in specifics, I mean this to the others as well- that I'm incredibly grateful for you. You take your own time- time in which you should be resting, to spend it with us. You show that we're more than money makers and fans. We're your family.

I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for loving stay endlessly. Thank you for always being here. Thank you for being kind.
