âIs it morning?â Draco murmured. His hair hung dishevelled, all over his face. Harry stared at him. Malfoyâs eyes were sweet and grave, this close. âNot yet,â Harry said, and swallowed. âSorry.â âMm?â âFor - waking you up,â Harry said. âI donât know. Iâm sorry, I donât know why I came back--â âIâm glad you did,â Draco mumbled, and put his head against Harryâs shoulder. Harry went very still. âI thought maybe youâd finally buggered off.â âAre you always like this in the mornings?â Harry said, overly jocular. âI - maybe I should come by more often--â âMm,â Draco said, yawning, breath warm against Harryâs neck. âIf you like.â âOkay,â Harry said, and shook his head. âOkay, then.â He shifted, until he was half sprawled back against the dragonâs leg, and Draco followed him, holding onto his wrist, until he was lying next to Harry. Then he rolled and rested his cheek against Harryâs shoulder again, and Harry closed his eyes. He hadnât slept yet tonight. It was cold in the barn, but Malfoy was warm, half-resting on him. âAre you going back to sleep?â Harry mumbled, shy, and Draco made a quiet, agreeable noise. Something like gravity sunk into Harryâs chest, inevitable and aching. He turned his head; he opened his eyes. Malfoy made a tiny noise and shifted up, and their mouths brushed, light and cool with the dark valley quiet outside. Harryâs breath came short, and Draco mumbled something he couldnât catch, patted clumsily at Harryâs chest. âSleep,â he said, âitâs still dark out.â âYeah,â Harry said. After a moment he brought his arm up around Dracoâs shoulders, holding him there. âOkay.â
